It is a direct bolt-on replacement for compatible vehicles, requiring no additional modifications.

The Nissan 32010-CD00A represents the latest version of the manual transmission for the VQ35DE engine, designed to replace earlier models prone to synchro ring issues and grinding. This unit is a brand new, complete genuine Nissan OEM transmission, not a rebuilt or remanufactured part, and includes pre-installed accessories like the clutch pivot ball, release fork, throw-out bearing sleeve, and sensors. Installation is straightforward as it is a direct bolt-on for applicable Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 models with the VQ35DE engine. It is important to note that Nissan transmissions ship with a break-in fluid which is not intended for driving and must be changed to a GL-4 type fluid, such as Red Line or Nissan MT Fluid, before operation. While Nissan offers limited warranty coverage, issues are rare with new transmissions. Any shipping damage must be reported immediately, though minor fluid leaks during transit are not covered as the fluid must be replaced anyway. This transmission is specifically designed for the 2004-2006 Nissan 350Z, and the 2005-2006 Infiniti G35 Sedan and 2005-2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe. It does NOT fit 2007-2008 350Z models with the VQ35HR engine or the 370Z with the VQ37 engine, as those utilize a different transmission with an internal concentric slave cylinder and altered bolt pattern.
