VQ35DE Resonator Pipes

The VQPlug Resonated Test Pipes offer an upgrade for the VQ35DE platform, aiming to combine the performance benefits of straight test pipes with a more comfortable driving experience by significantly reducing interior drone. These pipes are precision TIG-welded from durable 304 stainless steel and feature an integrated quarter-wave resonator chamber. This resonator is specifically tuned to target and cancel out the drone frequencies commonly found in the 3000-4000 RPM range on the VQ35DE engine, thus enhancing exhaust tone without introducing unwanted cabin resonance or measurable back pressure. Each pipe has a 2.5” diameter flow path and weighs approximately 6 lbs 8 oz, making them less than half the weight of the factory catalytic converters while maintaining OEM-level strength for demanding use. The design includes pre-installed O2 sensor bungs to accommodate factory sensor placement, simplifying installation. All necessary hardware, including header side crush gaskets, Y-pipe side 2-bolt flange gaskets, and mounting hardware, is included. Installation of these resonated test pipes does not require a tune. However, they are specifically designed for the 2003–2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe, 2003–2006 Infiniti G35 Sedan, and 2003–2006 Nissan 350Z models equipped with the VQ35DE engine. They are explicitly not compatible with the 2010 Nissan Altima SR due to its transverse-mounted engine and different exhaust design, nor are they compatible with the G35x AWD models, which feature pre-cats and different exhaust routing to accommodate the transfer case.
