The Nissan RevUp oil pump serves as a critical upgrade for VQ35DE engines, addressing internal reliability concerns during high-RPM operation. While the original pump features a softer metal gear susceptible to resonance above 6700 RPM, this upgraded unit incorporates a harder gear material, allowing for safer operation beyond 7000 RPM. It is a direct bolt-on replacement for engines requiring a rebuild or when replacing a damaged unit to ensure consistent oil delivery to engine galleries. This oil pump is compatible with various VQ35DE-equipped vehicles, including 2003-2006 350Z and G35 models. Please note that while it is an upgrade for earlier VQ35DE engines, it is not compatible with the VQ35HR engine. It does not increase nominal oil pressure; rather, it maintains reliable flow and pressure at higher RPMs where standard pumps may lag. Installation is straightforward with no additional modifications required for proper fitment on supported engines.
