The Nst pulley kit provides a performance-oriented solution for the VQ37HR engine platform, common in the Nissan 370Z and Infiniti G37. By replacing the heavier OEM components with CNC-machined 6061-T6 aircraft-quality aluminum, the kit achieves a 70% to 75% weight reduction. This reduction in rotating mass, combined with the underdriving of engine accessories, improves throttle response, engine efficiency, and overall power delivery. Each pulley is hard anodized for durability and corrosion resistance, ensuring a long service life compared to cast iron factory alternatives. The kit includes an overdrive alternator pulley specifically optimized to maintain stable electrical output, ensuring that vehicle systems like lighting and audio components function correctly despite the underdrive ratio. Installation requires the use of a Gates K070786 drive belt, which is not included with the pulley kit. The crank pulleys are designed with integrated oil sleeves and timing marks to maintain factory-spec functionality and ease of installation.
