VR Conditioner

The AMP EFI AXM-120 VR conditioner is engineered to transform analog sine wave signals from Variable Reluctor (VR) sensors into stable 0–5V square wave outputs, making them compatible with modern ECUs. This device is particularly useful when an ECU lacks sufficient onboard VR inputs or when dealing with noisy cam or crank signals. This module is highly versatile, suitable for camshaft, crankshaft, and wheel speed sensors, and can handle a broad spectrum of signal types and configurations. Common applications include adding extra VR inputs for MS3Pro Gen 1/MS3X systems, enabling four-wheel traction control by reading all wheel speed sensors, and cleaning up noisy VR cam sensors from sources like 24/1 Nippondenso or Subaru 6/7 triggers. Essentially, it converts any VR signal to a square wave for simplified ECU processing. Key features include built-in adaptive filtering for noise rejection, accepting only valid high-energy pulses. The connector and pins are included with the unit. The output is a 0–5V DC square wave triggered on the falling edge, with no external pull-up required. It operates on a supply voltage of 7.0 to 22.0 volts DC and draws less than 20 mA of current.
