The Vararam VR-SC1 Snake Charmer Ram Air Induction Kit is engineered for the 2005-2007 C6 Corvette equipped with the 6.0L LS2 engine. The primary goal of the Snake Charmer is to improve time-to-peak manifold pressure, which translates to enhanced torque and better drivability during cornering and acceleration. The filtration component is a key feature, a custom-designed, washable, and reusable filter produced in collaboration with Donaldson. This pleated filter boasts deeper pleats and a higher pleat count per inch, along with optimized peaks and valleys, to significantly increase airflow capacity compared to standard filters of similar dimensions, while also providing superior air filtration. The intake's aerodynamic package is designed to be highly efficient at speeds ranging from 10 mph to 180 mph, ensuring optimal performance across various driving conditions. Rainwater is not a concern unless the vehicle is submerged. Construction involves both roto-molding for the upper, seamless internal aero package, and vacuum forming for the lower scoop. This dual approach allows for specific aerodynamic tuning tailored to different applications, maximizing performance for both street and racing scenarios. The manufacturer states that no tune is required for installation, and claims potential rear-wheel horsepower gains of 32-37 hp and flywheel gains of 39-42 hp when the vehicle is in motion, along with improvements in quarter-mile times and trap speeds.
