The Vararam VR-SC1R Snake Charmer is a high-output ram air system engineered for the C6 Z06 Corvette. Developed with input from racing teams and tuners, this system aims to deliver maximum performance gains. It boasts 1/4 mile improvements of up to 3.5 tenths and 3.5 MPH without the need for ECU tuning, making it a simple plug-and-play upgrade. It features a unique billet aluminum air meter and a green, high-performance air filter. The redesigned air scoop, now standard on all C6 kits, includes several enhancements: the floor has been raised by 1/4 inch to decrease plenum volume and increase air velocity into the filter, the air inlet venturi has also been raised by 1/4 inch to better suit large cubic inch capacity engines, and an increased flange area ensures an improved fit between the scoop and the airbox. This Ram Air System is designed for the 2005-2008 C6 Z06 and the 2008 LS3 Corvette models. Installation is described as straightforward, requiring basic hand tools, and the system is noted to improve both driveability and fuel mileage.
