Overview

The Magnus Motorsports VR38 GTR R35 RWD Conversion Kit is a specialized component set designed for clutch cars and TH400 transmissions, excluding the factory transmission. This kit allows for the removal of the VR38's 4WD lower pan and enables the engine to be lowered by up to 5 inches, resulting in a lower crankshaft center line.

Included in the kit are a motor plate, spacer, and hardware. It is ideal for custom RWD builds incorporating the VR38 engine.

The Magnus Motorsports VR38 GTR R35 RWD Conversion Kit is engineered to facilitate the conversion of the VR38 engine to a rear-wheel-drive setup. This kit is specifically designed for applications using clutch cars or TH400 transmissions, and is not compatible with the factory transmission. By allowing the removal of the VR38's original 4WD lower oil pan, this conversion kit enables the engine to be mounted up to five inches lower. This significantly lowers the crankshaft's center line to a more manageable 8-9 inch range, making it ideal for RWD tube chassis cars, street rods, drift builds, sports cars, and carbon monocoque vehicles where the engine serves as a stressed member. The kit includes a motor plate, spacer, and necessary hardware. Key features of this kit include a lowered center of gravity and the utilization of the factory GTR starter and crank sensor, simplifying integration. However, it is crucial to note that the factory oil pump cannot be used; Magnus Dry Sump components must be employed. Optional 5-stage Peterson R4 Dry sump mounts are available for purchase separately. This conversion kit is intended to be teamed with Magnus's billet flywheel and bell housing for a complete engineered solution. The Magnus Motorsports VR38 GTR R35 RWD Conversion Kit is a foundational component for custom RWD builds utilizing the VR38 engine.
