The SCHRICK 0268r164101_0268l164101 camshaft set is engineered for VR6 engines, specifically those with 6 cylinders and 2 valves, commonly found in 2.8-2.9L applications. These performance camshafts offer a duration of 264 degrees for the intake and 260 degrees for the exhaust. The camshaft lobe lift measures 11.4mm on the intake side and 11.2mm on the exhaust side. Valve lift without valve clearance is 11.4mm for intake and 11.2mm for exhaust. The hydraulic valve clearance is noted for both intake and exhaust. Timing specifications include intake opening at 17 degrees and exhaust closing at 15 degrees. When using Schrick valve springs, it is crucial to use 1.00mm shims (part numbers 089500811/814) to ensure proper installation and valve train function. Recommended accessories for this camshaft set include hydraulic tappets with a 35mm diameter, and specific valve springs (001302062 and 001302026) along with 1mm washers for installation.
