VR6 Engine Swap Kit

The Eurowise VR6 Engine Conversion Kit - Stage 1 is engineered for Mk1 chassis applications, enabling the integration of a 12V VR6 engine without modifying the vehicle's body or engine bay. This kit includes essential components for the conversion, such as front and rear engine mounts, upper and lower transmission mounts, a front engine mount spacer, and custom performance axles, all supplied with hardware and bushings. It is specifically designed for OBD1 and OBD2 12V VR6 engines. For 24-valve, 3.2L, or 3.6L VR6 engines, different kits are required. Compatibility requires an 02A or 02J VR6 transmission. Important installation notes include potential interference with the reverse switch on 02J transmissions, which can be resolved by modifying the switch's mounting flange. Additionally, late-model 02J transmissions (1.8T and VR6) feature 108mm axle flanges that are not compatible with the included axles; replacement flanges (02A-409-355D and 02J-409-359) are necessary for these transmissions. The kit is designed for specific chassis applications including Scirocco Mk1/Mk2, Golf Rabbit Caddy Jetta Mk1, and Golf Cabriolet Mk1, with fitment for both left and right-hand drive models.
