VR6 H-Beam Connecting Rod Set

These CTS Turbo connecting rods are engineered for high-output VR6 engine builds, whether naturally aspirated or turbocharged. Constructed from vacuum-drawn 4340 chrome moly steel, they feature an upgraded H-beam design to significantly enhance strength and durability over stock components. Individually computer-optimized for unique VW/Audi engine applications and honed to exacting tolerances, these rods are designed to reliably support over 700HP in 6-cylinder configurations. The connecting rods utilize a 20mm wrist pin, making them a direct fit for vehicles currently running 20mm wrist pin pistons without requiring custom machining. They are also balanced to within +/- 1 gram and dimensionally and magnaflux inspected to ensure extreme reliability. The package includes IE Spec ARP 2000 rod bolts, stamped with 'IE' for authenticity. Optional rifle drilling for enhanced wrist pin lubrication is available separately and recommended for street-driven vehicles. Installation requires precise torque specifications for the included ARP 2000 rod bolts, with a recommended final torque of 50 ft/lbs and specific procedures for achieving proper bolt stretch, especially when using ARP assembly lubricant. Professional installation and tuning are highly recommended to prevent common causes of connecting rod failure such as improper installation, tuning, or oil starvation.
