The VIS Racing VRS Style Carbon Fiber Hood is engineered as a premium upgrade for the 2008-2014 Mitsubishi Evo 10, offering both aesthetic appeal and performance benefits. It is meticulously crafted from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, ensuring durability and a high-end finish. The hood's construction involves a two-part design with a top layer of high-grade carbon fiber bonded using a robust epoxy resin. This is further protected by an ultra-clear Poly Shield coating, which provides a glossy, UV-resistant finish to shield against sun damage and maintain its sleek appearance. The one-piece, smooth underside shell enhances the overall structural integrity, making it suitable for both street driving and track use. VIS Racing employs the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) in its manufacturing, resulting in parts that are 10-20% lighter than older methods. This weight reduction at the front of the vehicle can contribute to improved handling and performance. The edges are carefully smoothed by hand to ensure a high level of craftsmanship. For safety reasons, hood pins are required for this hood, particularly for off-road use. Professional installation is recommended. The fitment is designed for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X models from 2008 to 2015.
