VRX60B Ball-Bearing Turbocharger

The Z1 Motorsports VRX60B Turbos represent a significant upgrade for Infiniti Q50 and Q60 models equipped with the 3.0t engine. Designed as a direct bolt-on replacement, these turbochargers utilize a ceramic ball-bearing center cartridge for enhanced response and reduced spool time. Unlike some upgrades, the VRX60B's are built from 100% new components, eliminating the need for a core charge. These turbos feature a custom billet compressor wheel with an inducer of 45.6mm and an exducer of 60.0mm, paired with a .60 A/R compressor housing. The turbine side boasts a custom turbine wheel and a larger .70 A/R turbine housing (compared to the stock .53 A/R), which significantly increases airflow efficiency, reduces restriction, and supports substantial horsepower gains, capable of well beyond 600+hp with appropriate supporting modifications like fuel systems and tuning. Installation requires careful attention, particularly to the wastegate actuator and speed sensor (on Red Sport applications), which are reused from the factory unit. Z1 Motorsports recommends installation by a competent performance shop due to the criticality of proper adjustment. The use of blow-off valves is highly recommended at this performance level, and consultation with a tuner is advised if they are not being installed. These turbos are compatible with factory catalytic converters and aftermarket cats with stock flange placement. An AWD option includes new motor mount brackets to accommodate the larger turbos. The VRX60B turbos are specifically designed for the 2016+ Infiniti Q50 Sedan 3.0t and the 2017+ Infiniti Q60 Coupe 3.0t.
