The VIS Racing VS 2 Style Carbon Fiber Hood is meticulously designed for the 2022 to 2024 Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ models. This hood is crafted from premium, ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, offering a striking aesthetic upgrade and potential performance benefits. The construction utilizes a sophisticated two-part design, featuring a top layer of robust carbon fiber bonded with high-grade epoxy resin. This is protected by an ultra-clear, UV-resistant polyurethane coating, known as Poly Shield, which provides a high-gloss finish. The underside of the hood is constructed as a seamless, one-piece shell, enhancing its structural integrity. VIS Racing employs the Vacuum Infusion Process (VIP), a manufacturing technique that creates parts that are 10-20% lighter and more durable than previous models. This advanced process is being transitioned across their carbon fiber product line. For safety and optimal performance, the installation of Hood Pins is required. It is important not to reuse stock hood struts, shocks, dampers, or springs, as these may lead to the hood cracking. These hoods are primarily intended for off-road use, unless local and state regulations permit otherwise. Each hood includes an authentic VIS badge to assure quality and authenticity.
