The Apex VS-5RS is a premium forged wheel from Apex's Sprint Line, engineered for a blend of light weight and exceptional strength. Its construction begins with a blank forged under 10,000 metric tons of pressure, which refines the aluminum's grain structure and eliminates porosity for superior durability. This wheel features extra-deep, side-milled spokes, a process that carves away excess material without compromising strength, achieved through precision CNC machining. Apex has also reinforced critical areas, including a stronger inner lip, ensuring a higher load rating. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was extensively used to identify and reinforce high-stress zones. The design and manufacturing process have been independently tested by STL, exceeding JWL standards for increased duration, impact drop height, and total load. Key specifications for this model are: Type VS-5RS, Size 19x9.5, Offset ET18, Bolt Pattern 5x114.3, Center Bore 66.1, and a Brushed Clear finish. The wheel includes an innovative high-clearance barrel design and vehicle-specific spoke profiles, optimized using 3D laser scans for maximum brake clearance. Furthermore, the knurled beads are unpainted to ensure maximum grip and prevent tire slippage, and the design accommodates over-sized race lugs and impact sockets for quick wheel changes.
