The Apex VS-5RS Alloy Wheel is engineered for performance driving, constructed from 10K ton forged 6061-T6 aluminum for exceptional strength and reduced weight. Its construction involves extreme pressure to eliminate porosity and improve the aluminum's grain structure, resulting in a wheel that can withstand rigorous use. Key features include side-milled spokes, achieved through a precision CNC ball cutter, which removes excess material without compromising strength, making them 40% wider and 50% deeper than previous designs. The wheel also incorporates a tougher Sprint™ spec inner lip, offering 32% more reinforcement than Apex's flow-formed wheels, and a higher load rating of 1600 lbs. Massive brake clearance is a priority, achieved through an innovative high-clearance barrel design and vehicle-specific spoke profiles. Deeper concavity is enabled by redesigned forgings, optimized for various applications with 3D laser scans of brake kits. Additionally, the wheel features paintless knurled beads to maximize tire grip and prevent slippage, built-in clearance for impact sockets, and laser-engraved specifications for easy readability. This wheel is hub-centric for select vehicle applications, minimizing the need for centering rings. It is compatible with OEM and aftermarket Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS) and standard fit valve stems.
