VT2-525 Supercharger System Gen 3

The ESS Tuning VT2-525 Supercharger System (Gen.3) is engineered for the 2001-2006 BMW M3 [E46] to provide a dramatic increase in acceleration. When power is demanded, the car transforms, delivering brutal acceleration previously reserved for race cars, while maintaining stock-like behavior during normal driving. This direct bolt-on system features a Vortech V3 Si-trim internally lubricated supercharger unit, capable of producing up to 775hp, though this specific system is tuned to deliver 525hp (50% gain over stock) and 340 lb-ft of torque at 8 PSI of boost. It includes a high-capacity front mount intercooler (FMIC) with casted end tanks for improved flow, and a specially developed cast aluminum intake manifold with an integrated high-capacity bypass valve. The system uses powder-coated, mandrel-bent tubing, a self-tensioning, one-belt driven system with CNC machined and hard-anodized brackets and pulleys, 5-layer super-strength silicone hoses, and high-capacity Siemens fuel injectors. Included with the VT2-525 system is the ESS E-Flash OBD2 cable and specific ESS ECU software, which is perfectly optimized and dyno-tweaked for the supercharged engine, including recalibrated VANOS control, optimized fuel delivery, and removal of the dyno limiter and top speed governors. The software also features recalibrated electronic throttle for quicker response and allows the end-user to upload the software from any Windows PC, with the ability to restore the stock software. The system maintains all OBD-II functions. Installation is designed to take 6-8 hours using normal hand tools, with no irreversible modifications to the car required.
