The Pierburg 7.06117.10.0 is an electric VVT (Variable Valve Timing) solenoid, operating on a 12V system. This control valve is crucial for regulating the timing of the engine's valve lift, contributing to optimal performance and fuel efficiency. This solenoid is designed as a direct fit for a range of popular vehicles, including BMW E39 (5 Series), E38 (7 Series), and E53 (X5) models, as well as the Range Rover L322 and ALPINA Roadster V8 (E52). It is compatible with engines such as the 540i, 535i, 4.6is, 4.4i, 735i, 740i, and 4.8 V8, manufactured between 1996 and 2005. Specific OE reference numbers that this part replaces include BMW 11 36 7 524 489 and Land Rover 8510260, among others.
