VW 1500 HYD 1/4" HT CHAIN

The Maxwell VWC 1500 series vertical windlass is designed for automatic handling of chain-only anchor rodes, with an independent capstan for secondary rope/chain rode retrieval or docking. It allows for traditional shackle and thimble rope/chain connection. The visible components above-deck are made from high-quality marine grade stainless steel (AISI 316) and chromed bronze. Its cone-type brake/clutch permits manual ‘Free Fall’ anchoring with smooth progressive engagement. Installation is simplified by its modular through-deck design. The gearbox and spacer (on 500, 1000, and 1500 models) are made of anodized aluminum. It features a heavy-duty, dual-direction Cima motor specifically designed for marine winches and is easily disassembled for servicing.
