The CTS Turbo VW KR/PL 1.8 kit is a performance piston set engineered for extreme applications, including professional competition. These pistons are designed to handle higher compression ratios, significant boost, or heavy nitrous usage, necessitating the use of high-tensile strength 2618 aluminum alloy. The dome/dish design requires no deburring or preparation, simplifying installation. Constructed from 2618 T6 high tensile forged aluminum, these pistons offer robust durability for demanding engine builds. The kit includes essential components for installation: wrist pins, pin fitting, wire locks, and rings, ensuring a complete solution for engine internals. This kit is specifically designed for the VW KR/PL 1.8 engine with a 10.5:1 compression ratio, 81.0mm bore, and 86.4mm stroke.
