The VW1500 Hydraulic Series anchor winches are designed for traditional rope and chain combination anchor rodes, requiring manual transfer of the rode from the rope warping drum to the chainwheel. It allows operation of two anchors from one winch, offers rope hauling from any direction using an independent MAX-grip™ snag-free warping drum with clutch disengagement of the chain wheel. It permits traditional shackle and thimble rope and chain connection and allows alternative horizontal mounting on a fore and aft bulkhead inside the chain locker. Components above deck are marine-grade 316 stainless steel and chromed bronze. Features include a cone type brake/clutch for manual free fall, a chain wheel locking pawl, simplified through-deck installation (modular design), a marine-grade anodized aluminum gearbox and spacer, and a heavy-duty, dual-direction motor. Easily disassembled for servicing.
