VX Performance Camshaft Kit

The VX Performance Camshaft Kit provides a comprehensive solution for increasing engine power and torque across Volvo 240, 740, and 940 non-turbo models. Constructed from new Parkerized chill cast iron, these camshafts maintain the critical outer hardened material, ensuring greater longevity and consistency than re-ground alternatives. The camshaft features an 11.37mm intake lift, 10.65mm exhaust lift, and specific intake and exhaust durations of 245.4° and 236.2°, respectively, with 13.8° of overlap. Compatibility is optimized for Bosch LH-Jetronic or Regina fuel-injected models. While it can be installed in 240 models utilizing K-Jetronic fuel injection, users should expect a rougher idle and potential negative impacts on idle emissions. It is explicitly recommended to use the 0256 Turbo camshaft for turbo-charged applications rather than this specific kit. Installation requires professional care, as valve clearance adjustments are typically necessary during the process. It is highly recommended to replace the timing belt and seals at the same time as the camshaft installation to ensure optimal engine performance.
