The Engle Cams W100 camshaft is a performance upgrade for 12-1600cc Volkswagen-based engines, trusted by top engine builders in the industry for over 40 years. This camshaft offers a .383" cam lift with 276° of advertised duration and a 108° lobe center, providing a noticeable performance enhancement. Key specifications for this camshaft include a valve lash of .006" (Intake/Exhaust), .383" cam lift (Intake/Exhaust), 276° advertised duration (Intake/Exhaust), 236° duration at 0.050" (Intake/Exhaust), and a 108° lobe center. It is designed to be used with 1.1:1 rockers. Installation notes specify that new camshafts should always be installed with new lifters, and it's suggested to use the same brand lifter as the camshaft. Valve lash settings may vary with different pushrod materials (e.g., chromoly) or if using lash caps. Proper lifter to camshaft clearance, with a minimum of .040", must be checked. Spot facing of the case lifter bores may be necessary. To maintain warranty, Engle Cams requires the use of Engle Cams lifters; using lifters from another manufacturer will void the warranty. The product is considered universal and may fit various applications based on vehicle modifications. It is crucial to verify your specific application before purchase to ensure compatibility.
