The DDMWorks W11 Aluminum intake is a cold air intake system engineered for Gen1 MINI Cooper S models, including the R52-S Convertible (2004-2008) and R53 Hatchback (2002-2006). This intake features an aluminum construction, a departure from previous designs, aimed at reducing cost and weight without compromising power gains. The dual-stage air filter offers superior airflow and filtration compared to paper or cloth filters, and it is cleanable and re-oilable for extended service life. Installed by removing bottlenecks and inefficiencies, this intake system force-feeds the supercharger with fresh, cool air, especially beneficial for cars equipped with a supercharger reduction pulley. Installation is straightforward with basic hand tools, and no permanent modifications are required, allowing for an easy return to stock configuration.
