The Whipple W245AX is a 4.0-liter twin-screw supercharger, designed for builders creating custom supercharger packages for resale. This unit is the largest in Whipple's current screw blower line and is ready for extended drive setups, with textured black as the standard color, though custom colors may be available. Utilizing a positive displacement design, the W245AX offers exceptional throttle response and driveability, mimicking the feel of a large cubic inch motor. This makes it superior to centrifugal and turbochargers, which can experience lag, and Roots-type superchargers, known for lower efficiency at higher boost levels. Whipple offers a range of screw compressors, drive lengths, pulley combinations, and bypass valves to suit various applications.
