W3 Turbocharger

The 27WON W3 Turbocharger represents the pinnacle of aftermarket turbo upgrades for the 10th Generation Honda Civic equipped with the L15 engine, offering the largest and most powerful drop-in solution on the market. It is the culmination of the popular W1 and W2 series, evolved to deliver exceptional performance. At its core, the W3 features a TD-05 style Center Housing Rotating Assembly (CHRA) that allows for larger shafts and more robust ball bearing cartridges compared to TD-04 housings. This design choice, combined with a healthy 0.65 A/R, facilitates the use of substantial compressor and turbine wheels, making it capable of achieving over 400 WHP while maintaining a true plug-and-play installation. The CHRA is further enhanced with larger cooling jackets to withstand the increased stress of high boost conditions, suitable for both street and track use. A custom heat shield, precisely formed from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel, is included to replace the OEM unit, which will not fit with the larger W3 turbo. This heat shield is a direct bolt-on replacement and features a laser-cut "W" logo. For optimal performance and reliability with the W3 turbocharger, upgraded engine block components like stronger rods and pistons, along with upgraded head studs, are recommended. It is not recommended for CVT transmissions due to torque limitations, and manual transmission users will require an upgraded clutch. Post-installation, 5W-30 engine oil is required. The ideal application for this turbo is performance track use, such as drag or roll racing, where its focus on high top-end power and a slower boost response is advantageous.
