The Dometic RV Water Heater Thermal High Temperature Cut-off (93866) is a safety component designed for Atwood direct ignition water heaters. It is positioned on the incoming power wire and wired to the thermostat. This component acts as a protective measure to sever the electrical circuit and disengage the water heater if excessive heat is detected.

This cut-off prevents potential damage from blockages in the burner or flue tubes, such as those caused by spider webs or wasp nests. When obstructions lead to abnormal flame conditions, the thermal cut-off activates, opening the circuit and shutting down the water heater.
