As a vital part of your N62 engine's cooling system, this pump is essential for proper coolant circulation and maintaining optimal operating temperatures. Common indicators of a failing water pump include coolant leaks from the weep hole, play in the water pump pulley shaft, squeaking noises at idle, overheating conditions, or a low coolant light on the instrument cluster. This Saleri water pump is a direct replacement for BMW part numbers 11517524551, 11517524552, and 11517586781. This water pump is specifically designed for the following BMW models: E60 545i, E63 645ci, E65 745i, E53 X5 4.4i/4.8is, and Alpina B7. Please note the following application-specific details: The 745i is only compatible with the 2004 model year. Additionally, for certain 2002 and 2003 models (745i/745Li), it is crucial to check the alternator type, as this pump is not for cars with a water-cooled alternator. An OE water pipe (part # 11 51 1 439 976) is also required for installation on applicable models. The thermostat and housing are not included with this water pump.
