The Bullet Proof Diesel Water Pump Assembly is engineered to provide a robust solution for the common water pump failures experienced in Ford 6.0L Power Stroke engines from 2004.5 through 2007. This unit directly replaces the original equipment, addressing the inherent weaknesses of the stock plastic impeller. By incorporating a billet aluminum impeller and a precision-machined billet aluminum housing, this water pump offers superior durability and longevity. The primary advantage of this assembly is the elimination of cracked plastic impeller failures. The OEM plastic impeller is prone to cracking along the hub, leading to reduced coolant flow, engine overheating, and costly repairs. The Bullet Proof Diesel unit utilizes a stiffer, stronger aluminum impeller that resists flexing under heavy loads. This reduces cavitation and erosion within the engine's front cover, contributing to a more reliable cooling system. Installation of this water pump is recommended for trucks equipped with square EGR coolers. Fitment for the 6.0L Power Stroke generally includes models from 2004.25 and newer, with specific guidance provided to measure impeller diameter or consult VIN codes for precise identification, especially for 2004 model year trucks.
