The Davies Craig Electric Water Pump and Fan Digital Controller Kit (#8002) is a sophisticated cooling system management device that optimizes the performance of your EWP® (Electric Water Pump) and electric fans. This controller allows for precise management of your engine's cooling system by varying the speed of the EWP® in response to coolant temperature, ensuring efficient heat dissipation. Key features include a numerical LCD screen that displays real-time engine and target temperatures, as well as pump operation status (PWM mode). The controller offers a wide temperature setting range, from 40°C (104°F) to 110°C (230°F), with a recommended target temperature close to your engine's existing thermostat. The fan automatically engages when the engine temperature reaches 3°C (5.4°F) above the set temperature. Additionally, it provides an overrun feature, allowing the EWP® and fan to continue running for up to 3 minutes or until the temperature drops 10°C below the set point after ignition shutdown, effectively preventing heat soak. The controller also monitors input voltage and features a suite of self-diagnostic functions with visual and audible alarms for various fault conditions, including temperature discrepancies, voltage issues, sensor errors, and pump errors. The kit includes the EWP® Digital Controller assembly, a wiring harness with a 10AMP fuse, a 1/4 NPT temperature sensor, a 35mm in-line adaptor with hose clamps, ring terminals, and mounting options (bracket and nylon plate).
