Wavetrac A3/TT S-TRONIC Differential

The Wavetrac A3/TT S-TRONIC differential is engineered to overcome the limitations of traditional torque-biasing differentials, which can lose drive under near-zero torque conditions. Its innovative wave design center pack utilizes precisely engineered converging/diverging wave profiles on the side gears. As these gears rotate relative to each other, the wave surfaces climb, imparting an increased normal force and thus an automatically adapting bias ratio. This ensures consistent performance and grip, even in low-traction situations, effectively providing the benefits of a higher bias ratio without negatively impacting handling. This differential offers further customization through its interchangeable friction plates. While it comes standard with carbon-fiber plates for balanced performance, separate kits with materials offering different friction coefficients are available to precisely tune the differential's response based on applied torque load. This allows users to fine-tune the bias ratio to their specific needs and driving style. Constructed for durability and strength, the Wavetrac differential features internal gears made from high-strength 9310 alloy steel and bodies machined from case-hardened steel billet. For maximum reliability, every unit is assembled using high-strength ARP fasteners, ensuring robust performance even under high power levels. Attention has also been paid to the side gear/axle interface to maximize material thickness in this critical area.
