The Wavetrac A3/TT S-TRONIC [DSG] QUATTRO (20T ring) is a differential engineered to significantly improve grip, particularly in low-traction scenarios. Unlike typical torque-biasing differentials that can lose drive under zero or near-zero torque conditions, the Wavetrac utilizes a patent-pending wave design in its center pack. This design automatically increases the bias ratio as a function of load, ensuring optimal performance during transitions and low-grip situations, then seamlessly reverting to its nominal bias ratio. This functionality is often described as having two differentials in one, providing enhanced traction without compromising drivability.
