Description

The Engineered Marine Products wear plate is a direct replacement for Mercury OEM part 39624. It is designed for Mercury and Mariner 2-cylinder 20 hp outboards built between 1974 and 1980. The wear plate functions by absorbing friction between the impeller and pump housing, protecting the housing from wear. A worn-out wear plate can lead to reduced water flow and engine overheating.
