It provides unmatched configurability, speed, and expansion capabilities, now enhanced with Core+ features for improved safety and control at no additional cost. Powered by the WeCanX® communication system, the CenCom Core® supports up to 99 devices, enabling seamless synchronization of lighting and tones across multiple vehicles. This system utilizes Dynamic Variable Intensity™ (DVI™) technology to adjust light output gradually, enhancing safety during nighttime operations. It also offers Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) Sync and Tone Sync for precise control and coordinated performance. For fleet management, it is compatible with the Whelen Cloud Platform® for advanced safety, control, and diagnostic tools. The CenCom Core® boasts extensive input and output capabilities, including 17 total inputs (12 logic, 4 analog, 1 ignition) and 23 total outputs (2x 15A, 4x 10A, 16x 2A, 1x dry contact relay). It supports synchronization of flashing outputs across the entire system. The system is compatible with a range of Whelen control heads, including CCTL5, CCTL6, CCTL7, CCTL8, CCTL8LM, CCTL9, CCTL9LM, CCTL10, CCTL11, and CCTL11LM. Expansion is possible through various modules like High Current, 8-Output, 16-Output, and 24-Output options. Installation compatibility requires careful attention. Various OBDII CANport™ and Gateway Installation Kits (e.g., C399K1 through C399K9) are available for specific vehicle makes, models, and years, and importantly, these are *not* for use with Core-R™ and C399S. Additionally, the SCANport™ Installation Kit, designed for C399R and C399S, is not for use with Core C399 and has specific vehicle availability for models such as Ford Super Duty 2023-2024, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 PPV 2022-2024, and others.
