This Wehrli Custom Fab Stage 2 Intake Kit is a high-flow, fabricated aluminum intake pipe and air box enclosure designed to replace the restrictive factory plastic components on 2007.5-2010 GM LMM 6.6L Duramax diesel engines. This kit aims to improve engine performance by significantly increasing airflow to the turbo, resulting in improved horsepower and torque, quicker throttle response, and cooler intake temperatures. It achieves this by drawing cold air through the inner fender. The kit features large diameter 4-inch aluminum piping with smooth aerodynamic bends, which enhances intake air velocity and volume, and provides a more aggressive engine and turbo sound during acceleration. It includes a dry air filter with an Outerwear's Pre-Filter Cover, silicone boot, stainless steel T-bolt clamps, and a 4.8-inch cast aluminum turbo intake horn. The intake horn removes OEM restrictions to improve turbo spool and top-end power, and is compatible with OEM and upgraded drop-in VGT style turbochargers. The kit is designed for easy installation with basic hand tools and requires no tuning. It comes with all necessary installation hardware and is finished in a custom gloss white powder coat.
