This Wehrli 60" Traction Bar Kit is designed for 2011-2019 GM HD Trucks with Duramax engines, specifically for Regular Cab Long Bed (RCLB), Extended Cab Short Bed (ECSB), and Crew Cab Short Bed (CCSB) configurations. These traction bars are a crucial upgrade for diesel trucks with increased horsepower, as they prevent axle twist, which can lead to damage to u-joints, driveshafts, and axle housings. The installation involves bolting the brackets to the bottom of the axle tube using u-bolts and welding the front end to the frame. The kit incorporates a RockJock rebuildable and greaseable "Johnny Joint" heim connection at the frame for torsion adjustment and heavy-duty Poly Urethane Bushings at the axle connection to minimize noise and vibration. All connections are secured with Grade 8 hardware. The bars are finished with a professional in-house powder coat process, including an epoxy primer base coat for enhanced corrosion resistance.
