The Stage 2 upgrade for the 2017-2019 L5P 6.6L Duramax combines Stage 1 High Flow Bundle and Stage 2 Intake Kit for increased airflow, improved efficiency, throttle response, and turbo spool up. It eliminates weak points in the factory design that can cause power loss, boost leaks, and failures. The high-flow fabricated intake pipe, intake horn, and air box enclosure with dry filter replace restrictive plastic factory parts, significantly increasing airflow, horsepower, torque, and providing cooler intake temperatures by drawing cold air through the hood Ram Air duct and inner fender. Constructed from 14 ga. aluminum with 4 in. piping and smooth bends. The air box is 10G aluminum. The intake horn is over an inch larger than OEM, leading to a 25HP gain with a 4 in. turbo inlet and Max Effort Tune. Includes high-quality hardware, silicone boot, seals, and stainless steel t-bolt clamps. The removable air box lid allows easy filter inspection and maintenance with an included hydrophobic pre-filter cover. The critical ram air duct seal is moved to the bottom of the hood for a clean engine compartment. The Stage 2 kit also upgrades the restricted 2-piece, resonator-equipped, 2.5 in. driver (Hot) side intercooler pipe and leak-prone 2-piece plastic/rubber passenger (Cold) side pipe with WCFab's heavy-duty 3 in. diameter 1-piece Driver (Hot) Side and 3.5 in. diameter Passenger (Cold) Side L5P Intercooler Pipes. Made in the USA from 14 ga. aluminum tube with mandrel bends. The 3 in. Driver Side pipe eliminates the OEM resonator and middle boot joint for improved flow and durability, including reinforced silicone boots and stainless t-bolt clamps. The 3.5\" Passenger Side pipe features a CNC machined flange with a double o-ring seal and an upgraded silicone boot to withstand higher boost pressures. Finished in your choice of WCFab's custom powder coat colors. Installs with basic hand tools. Compatible with stock trucks, no tuning required.
