Overview

The Total Control Products TCP SUBFC-02 is a pair of weld-in subframe connectors designed for 1964-1970 Mustangs and 1967-1970 Cougars (convertible models only). These connectors link the front subframe to the rear frame rail at the forward leaf-spring mount. They are constructed from 1-5/8" round tubing and feature a durable black powder-coat finish.

The primary benefit of installing these connectors is the significant improvement in chassis stiffness, which is advantageous for all levels of driving and performance.

The Total Control Products TCP SUBFC-02 subframe connectors are specifically engineered for 1964-1970 Ford Mustangs and 1967-1970 Mercury Cougars, exclusively for convertible models. Constructed from robust 1-5/8" round tubing, the connectors are finished with a protective black powder-coat for durability and corrosion resistance. The design ensures a clean installation, fitting completely under the original floor pan. Provisions are included for the mounting of an optional center support system, further enhancing structural integrity. Installation involves welding these connectors into place, connecting the front and rear factory frame rails. The primary advantage of this upgrade is a substantial increase in chassis stiffness. This improved rigidity is beneficial across all driving conditions and performance applications, leading to a more solid and responsive vehicle feel. Note: Installation may require custom exhaust modifications to accommodate the subframe connectors.
