Overview

The UMI Performance 2026 is a set of weld-in tubular subframe connectors designed for 1993-2002 GM F-Body convertible models. These connectors tie the front and rear subframes together, stiffening and strengthening the chassis.

Constructed from DOM mild steel tubing and MIG welded, they feature a tight fit against the undercarriage with no loss of ground clearance. The subframe connectors are finished in a durable red powder coat. They include eight welding points and a rear control arm mount for increased strength.

The UMI Performance 2026 Tubular Subframe Connectors are designed to significantly enhance chassis rigidity for 1993-2002 GM F-Body convertible models. By connecting the front and rear subframes with eight integrated weld points, these connectors effectively reduce chassis flex during aggressive driving scenarios like autocross, road racing, and drag racing. They also feature a rear control arm mount for added structural integrity. The connectors are finished with a tough red powder coat for corrosion resistance and a distinct look. Installation involves welding and is considered moderately difficult, with professional installation recommended. UMI Performance also offers an optional bolt-in hardware kit for temporary installation prior to welding, allowing for installation now and welding at a later date. This kit provides additional welding points not present on the bolt-on version and can serve as a 100% bolt-in solution requiring no drilling, cutting, or grinding if the hardware is purchased separately.
