Overview

The G Force GF-AE1-FRB is a weld-on frame rail boxing kit designed to strengthen the mid-frame portion of 1964-1967 GM A-Body vehicles with a factory channel frame. This kit reinforces and strengthens the factory hard-top channel mid-frame.

It includes transmission crossmember mounting brackets that allow for alignment with transmissions ranging from a Powerglide to a 4L80E. When welded, these brackets will align to the width of G Force Performance Products 68-72 A-Body convertible crossmembers.

The G Force GF-AE1-FRB is a weld-on frame rail boxing kit engineered to significantly reinforce and strengthen the mid-frame section of 1964-1967 GM A-Body vehicles equipped with a factory channel frame. This kit converts open frame sections into boxed rails, increasing torsional rigidity and chassis stability. Designed for specific fitment, this kit is compatible with the 1964-1967 GM A-Body models including Chevelle, Malibu, Cutlass, Skylark, Lemans, Tempest, and GTO, provided they have a factory channel frame. It accommodates a wide array of transmissions, from the Powerglide to modern automatics like the 4L80E, and manual transmissions such as Muncie, TKO, TKX, T56, and more. Installation involves welding the boxing plates to the frame rails. A key consideration is that the transmission crossmember mounting brackets, once welded, will align with the width of G Force Performance Products' 68-72 A-Body convertible crossmembers, specifically the RCAEC2 model, which is commonly used with this kit. Note that hardware is not included with this kit.
