Excessive heat buildup in the engine bay, around the radiator, brakes, transmission, or differential can lead to significant and costly damage. These hood vents actively help to dissipate this heat by reducing high-pressure air that can accumulate in the wheel wells. They are constructed using pre-preg. carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite materials, providing a high strength-to-weight ratio. The manufacturing process involves forming the component in an autoclave at high temperatures, utilizing pre-impregnated carbon fiber for superior strength and minimal weight. Each vent is finished with a UV-resistant clear-coat paint to protect against environmental factors, requiring similar care to your vehicle's exterior paint finish, including regular waxing or synthetic protectant application. Installation of these hood vents requires cutting into the vehicle's hood.
