The Whipple W175FF Gen 4 2.9L Supercharger Assembly provides an upgrade path for enthusiasts looking to leverage the latest in Whipple's twin-screw supercharging technology. Designed as a direct replacement for existing Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3 W175AXFF 2.9L Whipple superchargers, this assembly features a black finish and a jackshaft configuration. It is intended for use in compatible Ford, Dodge, and GM applications that already utilize the 2.9L Whipple supercharger platform. This Gen 4 upgrade builds upon the successful Gen 3 2.9L platform by incorporating an updated rotor and housing package. Compared to its predecessor, the Gen 4 version delivers approximately 4 percent greater airflow. This enhanced airflow, combined with the new Whipple Crusher supercharger housing, leads to increased volumetric efficiency and the potential to produce an additional 1 to 1.5 PSI of boost at the same pulley size on properly matched combinations. Application coverage is extensive, including specific models such as the 2003-2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra, 2007-2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, 2011-2017 Ford Mustang GT, 2011-2017 Ford F-150, 2010-2014 Ford F-150 Raptor, 2014-2017 Chevrolet SS, 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro, 2007-2013 Chevrolet Corvette, and Dodge HEMI 5.7L, 6.1L, and 6.4L applications. It is crucial to verify existing supercharger model, generation, drive configuration, jackshaft compatibility, inlet configuration, pulley setup, belt alignment, throttle body, intake system, calibration, fuel system, and hood clearance before ordering. Final performance gains may vary based on the existing supercharger generation, pulley setup, engine combination, supporting modifications, fuel quality, and calibration. This product requires custom dyno tuning for operation and does not include fuel system upgrades or a programmer. Professional installation is recommended. Whipple Supercharger Kits are built to order, and customers must provide their VIN at the time of order, with lead times typically ranging from 10 to 14 business days.
