D8-4 rear calipers are a direct bolt-on replacement for the OE factory rear calipers on all 1965-82 Corvettes. Forged billet aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and high temperature seals put an end to the rust, bore pitting, and seal failures that plague the original cast iron caliper design.

D8-4 rear calipers are a direct bolt-on replacement for the OE factory rear calipers on all 1965-82 Corvettes. They feature forged billet aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and high-temperature seals. These calipers mount in the stock location over stock rotors and use the original type D8 brake pads. They fit inside 1967 and later production steel rally wheels and most later model alloy wheels, though some earlier wheels may require a spacer. They maintain the same overall piston volumes as original calipers, requiring only a new flexline with an 1/8”-27 NPT end.
