Wilwood Caliper-Forged Superlite 1.38in Pistons 1.25in Disc Red

The Superlite caliper series is a benchmark in short track, late model, modified, and open-wheel competition, also used in road-race, off-road, rally, and sport driving. The FSLI model series is an innovation with redesigned internal fluid ports that eliminate external fluid cross-over tubes. It features two additional bleed screw assemblies for symmetrical piston bore models, allowing mounting on either right or left in a leading or trailing position. The caliper body is stress-flow forged from premium grade aluminum alloy billets, which re-aligns the metal's internal grain structure to flow within the contour of the caliper body, eliminating stresses and interruptions from machining. The FSL body design uses computer-generated solid modeling and stress analysis technology, featuring closed-end bridges with a radial transition to the piston body housings for increased strength and resistance to deflection. Center bridge bolts provide additional support and quick access with positive brake pad retention. It is equipped with Wilwood's replaceable SRS stainless steel bridge plates to eliminate bridge wear and extend service life, and also eliminate pad rattle and dampen vibration. Standard features include high-temperature, square-faced o-ring seals for positive sealing, controlled piston retraction, and long service life. Stainless steel pistons resist corrosion and retard heat transfer. Two-piece bleed screw assemblies ensure reliable service. FSLI calipers are a direct replacement for all Wilwood Superlite and similar competitive brand calipers with 3.50" centered mounting tabs. Available in 1.75", 1.62”, 1.38", 1.25” and 1.12” piston sizes for .81", 1.10" and 1.25" rotor widths. FSL calipers use the same 7420 type bridge bolt brake pad used in all Superlite 6 piston calipers.
