GT Series Big Brake Short Offset hats are precision machined from premium aluminum alloys for high strength and attention to minimized weight. Hats in this category feature threaded rotor mount holes for use with standard through-hole mount rotors. Threaded hole hats may also be used with T-Nuts or bobbins designed for use with specially machined slotted hole dynamic mount rotors. When used in conjunction with matched Wilwood rotor hardware kits, GT hats provide solid, reliable performance in the most demanding conditions. Short Offset Hats are for narrow space applications with offsets often less than 1.00". They are available for most rotor bolt patterns in a variety of four and five lug wheel patterns.

The Wilwood 170-8757 is a brake hat designed for big brake applications. It features a short offset and a threaded mount hole type. The hat is constructed from aluminum and has a rotor bolt circle of 12 x 8.75 inches with a 1.000 inch offset. The center registration diameter is 2.82 inches.

This component is part of Wilwood's Dynamic Drag Hat line, which utilizes a new rotor mounting system to allow rotors to expand and contract independently. This design aims to reduce thermal stress on the attachment points, keeping rotors flatter and truer, which in turn leads to more consistent brake response and pedal feel, while also eliminating pad knock-back and rotor drag.
