The Ancor 764998 is a wire seal designed for running cables through surfaces while maintaining a waterproof and strain-relieving seal. It functions like a compression nut or packing gland, with the internal seal compressing around the wire as the top nut is tightened. The body features external NPT threads that insert into the surface, and a included nut clamps the body in place.

This seal is suitable for various applications, including boat decks, panels, junction boxes, propane enclosures, antenna installations, and hydraulic hoses. It is approved by UL and CSA and constructed from Nylon 6/6 with a Buna-N form seal, offering resistance to saltwater, gasoline, alcohol, ketones, and mineral oil. The seal is rated for underwater use up to 300 feet and 150 PSIG, provided a liquid-tight seal is maintained between the body and housing.
