The Mr 12 Volt P3000-BMCC is a digital interface designed to upgrade factory BMW CCC, M-ASK, and M-ASK II systems (6.5" or 8.8" displays) and compatible MINI models with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Unlike standard analog-based CarPlay solutions, this interface connects directly through the vehicle's MOST fiber optic network, ensuring clear, lossless digital audio without needing an AUX input. The system is compatible with Base, HiFi, and Harman Kardon Logic 7 sound systems while retaining full OEM functionality, including steering wheel controls, factory parking sensors, and display integration. Users access the interface by selecting the CD changer menu on their factory iDrive controller. Installation requires specific considerations: if a factory CD changer is present, it must be bypassed using the included optical loop connector. Professional installation is recommended, and CD/MP3 coding may be required depending on the head unit—it is advised to perform this coding prior to installation. Additionally, if the vehicle is equipped with OEM Bluetooth handsfree, the supplied mic splitter cable must be used; otherwise, the external microphone provided should be installed. The unit supports various aftermarket camera inputs, including AHD 1080P reverse, front, and blind-spot cameras.
