The AmeriHood WS6 Style Functional Vented Hood is a custom body panel designed for the 2003-2009 Dodge Ram 2500. This hood features a functional ram air tunnel and includes aluminum wire mesh grill inserts where applicable.

Its WS6-inspired design incorporates a functional ram air tunnel, directing cold air to performance intake systems, and includes aluminum wire mesh grill inserts. The hood features a smooth gel coat finish on both the top and underside, facilitating easier prep work for painting. Installation involves utilizing the factory hinges and latch, though some adjustments may be necessary. As this is a composite hood, it is thicker and stiffer than the factory steel or aluminum hood. Minor sanding, shaving, cutting, and filling are expected during the prep and painting process. Fender alignment may need adjustment, and rubber stoppers might require modification or removal to ensure proper fitment. This hood requires hand-finishing for paint prep and fitment and is not a simple bolt-on installation. It is important to note that fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods are incompatible with OEM gas strut hood lifters, as they can cause stress and cracking, voiding the warranty. Lower weight-rated lifters are required if using gas struts. Hood pins are highly recommended as a fail-safe in conjunction with the stock hood latch due to the lighter weight of composite hoods and the bonded latch mechanism.
