X34 MQB Open-Top Cold Air Intake

The 034 Motorsport X34 Carbon Fiber MQB Open-Top Cold Air Intake System is engineered to enhance airflow and performance for 8V/8S Audi A3/S3/TT/TTS and MkVII VW Golf/GTI/R/GLI models equipped with 1.8T/2.0T EA888 Gen 3 engines. 034Motorsport's engineers identified restrictive elements in the factory intake, such as the air filter, upper airbox, and turbo inlet tube, and developed this one-piece carbon fiber unit to replace them. By eliminating restrictive couplers and improving transitions, this intake drastically reduces turbulence and pressure drop before the turbo inlet. The system features a large 4" inlet and a CFD-optimized intake tube, designed to allow maximum airflow around the included double-layer pleated cotton air filter. The carbon fiber weave is selected to match factory RS-model engine trim, and includes a black anodized billet aluminum secondary air adapter and cap for an OEM+ appearance. The open-top design also increases intake sound volume. Installation is described as mild and is a 100% bolt-on process, retaining the factory lower airbox and inlet duct. The product is sold for racing use and use on vehicles not registered for on-highway use, and is not legal for use on emissions-controlled highway or street vehicles. Additionally, this product will not fit vehicles equipped with a MAF sensor; confirmation is advised before ordering.
