The SCT Performance X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner, a replacement for the SF3/X3, is engineered to boost horsepower, torque, and overall vehicle performance for 1999-2004 GT and Bullitt Mustangs. It includes two custom Bama V2 tunes, valued at $150, and provides free tunes for life with unlimited revisions for safe and reliable power gains. The device features on-screen data logging, the ability to read and clear DTC trouble codes, and a full-color LCD display with an auto-dim function. Compatibility is limited to PC/Windows platforms; it is not compatible with Mac software. Installation is straightforward, estimated at approximately 15 minutes. The tuner optimizes air/fuel ratios and spark timing to unlock additional power, and can significantly enhance throttle response and acceleration. For automatic transmissions, it adjusts shift points and firmness for improved drivability. Each Bama tune is personalized based on 19 questions about your specific vehicle setup and intended use, ensuring maximum power and performance. Bama Custom Tunes are developed and refined through extensive testing on their in-house Dynojet 224xLC chassis dynamometer. The Performance Tune V2 is suited for aggressive daily driving or weekend use, offering more power, increased throttle response, and improved shift firmness. The Race Tune V2 is designed for race use, delivering maximum horsepower and torque with aggressive transmission settings and sensitive throttle response, and recommends 93 octane or higher fuel. Programming custom tunes may take 2-3 business days plus shipping. Heavily modified vehicles may not be tunable with a mail-order tune.
